Macy Puryear is excited to serve at The Corner Church, helping middle and high school students grow in their faith and build lasting community. Originally from Charleston, SC, Macy grew up in the church and decided to follow Jesus in middle school. Inspired by the student ministry leaders who had a profound impact on her own faith journey, Macy is passionate about extending that same influence to the next generation.

Macy studied accounting at the University of South Carolina and works full-time as a forensic accountant. In addition to her professional career, Macy has a heart for ministry and has served as the Student Ministry Director at The Corner Church since 2022. Seeing students grow in their faith and apply Jesus' teachings to their everyday lives is one of the most rewarding aspects of her ministry.

Outside of ministry, Macy enjoys tap dancing and crocheting. She also loves spending time with her husband, Joe, and their sons, Henry and Jonathan. Macy’s favorite Bible verse is Psalm 139:11, and it shapes her ministry. "Teenagers are discovering who they are, and it's imperative that we teach them they are children of God, made in His image. Everything He makes is a wonderful creation—and that includes them."
